My set of tools is Pimsleur, Language Transfer, Dreaming Spanish, podcasts, and Anki, very similar to what you recommend. I think I need to add some tutor app.

To my surprise, I absolutely love Rosetta Stone for Chinese.

This is good for people who speak English as a second language.

Not sure knowing how many keys a piano has is going to help you in life.

I’m afraid you lost me from the very beginning when you encouraged beginners to use Duolingo. It's suitable for children, but for serious learners, there are much better alternatives.
