So true how it sets a low standard when we don’t address it, bring down team morale, and reduce respect for the leader. Do it early. The problem is only getting bigger.

Everyone has a strong set of skills. You can learn to use those strong skills. But that takes a little bit of effort from leaders.

What could be better

When managers themselves don’t do any work or know how to do the work, what do you expect them to manage? They push down high performers' accomplishments and exaggerate low performers' difficulties.

An incompetent leader can only handle subcontracted workers. For long-term workers, he can do nothing but give fake smiles and meaningless talk. Sad.

Manager does not plan early and delegate. Pushes jobs to subordinates without clarity. Finger-pointing and emotional.

Sometimes you need to look in the mirror. When others are just 'butt kissers' and one is the 'underperformer,' you don't want to kiss up and be labeled an 'underperformer.'

This is basically how I lost my job because no one wanted to fix the issues the business had. Leadership blocked me at every turn, leading to major claims.
