Great innovation. Other states should adopt. Kudos to KERALAM.

I would highly recommend R.K. Narayan's books to regain a love for reading. Very easy, absorbing, and deeply rooted in rural Southern India.

I think authors like Sobers Rodrigues are redefining Indian popular fiction, thinking beyond usual mythological stories.

Kerala, 100% literacy, great initiative. Nature-based solutions and circularity make this good for sustainable development.

Well spoken Britto.

Excellent talk.

Fluent and in the driver's seat throughout the conversation is translator Arunava Sinha. Enjoyed a very informative session on Indian languages and English translation.

What could be better

Who would read if all write like Chetan Bhagat?

When will India rise to heights of classic literature like that of Tagore and R.K. Narayan era?

Scroll seems quiet on the TCS corporate conversion row. This will hurt your credibility. I see no article on this on your webpage.

Please report on the TCS Nashik corporate Jihad case. I know it's difficult for your kind, but if you don't, hate speech against Muslims will increase.

Honestly, I tried looking at Indian authors, but most feel like subpar Western novels. If I want to read Western novels, I can go directly to the source.

That thumbnail is ragebait. I don't mind if Indians don't read anymore, as long as they're not reading Chetan Bhagat.

Ah, Chetan Bhagat—the man who proved that if you write in 'WhatsApp English' before WhatsApp even existed, you can become a national bestseller.

I used to like Chetan Bhagat until I came across his online persona, which is vile and displays crass, abusive behavior. It made his books simplistic and a turn-off.
